Arena Stage
The new Arena Stage building at the Mead Center for American Theater in Washington, D.C. utlizes a number of custom solutions from Staging Concepts.
In collaboration with Pook, Diemont, and Ohl (PDO) theater equipment specialists and Fischer Dachs Associates theater planning and design firm, Staging Concepts provided a custom Orchestra Pit Infill that operates at two levels — stage elevation and seating elevation. Staging Concepts’ curved SC90 Seating Riser Platforms are used when Orchestra Pit Infill is set to seating elevation as well as Stage Thrust Platforms when the Orchestra Pit Infill is set to stage elevation. The ADA Infill Seating Platforms and bespoke Stage Trap Platforms are built to accommodate the I-beam and column style stage trap understructure supplied by PDO.
